• Imperial Grand Prix
When you are in the tunnel, shoot the barrels shown here and they will disappear enabling you to cut off the corner. The barrels are on the right on Circuit 1 and the left on circuit 4.

I recommend this as a good lead gainer but you have the disadvantage of missing the three power plus bricks on the corner.

• Dark Forest Dash
A short way before the waterfall, turn sharply left (circuit 1) or right (circuit 4) to find a hidden cutting which will cut off the corner.

When you turn, remember to try and pick up the power plus brick in the cutting.

• Magma Moon Marathon (1)
Just before you reach the coloured gates, turn on a shield and the pile of bricks on the left (circuit 1) or right (circuit 4) will glow. You can then drive through them (as long as the shield is still on) and will find a shortcut to cut out part of the race.

I find the best method is to use this shortcut the first time around, and then use the shortcut described below the second time, and then this again the third time.

• Magma Moon Marathon (2)
As you drive past the dome for the first time (at the end of the race), note the colour and order of the bricks (circled). Then on the next time around, drive through the coloured gates in that order and the dome will open, cutting out the corner.

• Desert Adventure Dragway (1)
Just after the first corner, pick up a projectile and shoot it at the temple doorway. A secret route will then open, enabling you to cut out part of the track.

This is a good shortcut considering that there are several power plus bricks in it to collect. Note that it comes out at the same point as the second shortcut for this level.

• Desert Adventure Dragway (2)
Just around the bend from the shortcut named above is the model of a Sphinx. Shoot the ground beneath its feet and you will open up another secret route. (the picture shows it opened).

This is a really good shortcut as there are three power plus bricks in it, all near to each other.
